Curriculum

Classes begin each year in early July and are taught by the program's director, clinical instructor, medical physicist and other faculty team members. The program combines instructional education with clinical experience. Clinical training is provided in the Department of Radiology and is directly supervised by the clinical instructor, registered radiographers and staff radiologists. The program schedule is as follows:

  First Year  Second Year 
Monday, Wednesday, Friday   Class  Clinical 
Tuesday, Thursday   Clinical  Class


Upon completion of the program studies, graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

The Radiography program's curriculum is divided into four semesters (six months each) and includes the following subjects:

  • Radiation Protection
  • Radiographic Physics
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Principles of Radiographic Exposure
  • Imaging Equipment
  • Introduction to Quality Assurance
  • Patient Care and Management
  • Radiobiology
  • Medical/Legal Issues
  • Research and Analysis
  • Medical Terminology
  • Applied Clinical Radiography
  • Radiographic Procedures
