Medicine Program Requirements
The Stamford Hospital/Columbia University Residency Program in Internal Medicine selects candidates each year through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for first-year positions.
Applications are accepted exclusively through ERAS.
Qualified applicants are invited for interviews after review of their completed applications by the residency recruiting committee. Interviews take place from November through January.
In order to submit an application to be considered for acceptance into the program, the minimum qualifications listed below must be met. The applicant must be:
1) A student in good standing at, or graduate of, a United States medical school. Or
2) A student in, or graduate of, a foreign medical school who has achieved a minimum score of 80 in Step I and II of the USMLE, and at least one year of clinical experience in the United States in a hospital setting that included direct involvement in patient care.
