Program Requirements

The GEMS program is an extremely competitive program. To qualify for participation in the GEMS program candidates must:

Be a new graduate RN with less than one year of experience
Be licensed in the State of Connecticut
Have taken and passed NCLEX prior to the program start date
Have completed a Transfer Request Form signed by current manager if candidate is presently employed by Stamford Hospital

Please note that employees must be in good standing without any disciplinary actions within the past 6 months prior to program start date.
