The Women's Breast Center has recently received recognition from two prestigious organizations

• The American College of Radiology has designated our screening facility as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence--one of five out of the state's 133 breast imaging centers.

• The American College of Surgeons has recognized the Women's Breast Center as the first Accredited Breast Center in the country. This accreditation has been awarded in recognition of our team's commitment to providing patients with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the best possible breast care.

We are proud to offer:

• Routine screenings and diagnostic mammography, all digital
• Breast MRI with the highest resolution images available in Fairfield County
• Digital mammography that can image large-breasted women
• Advanced computer-assisted detection software
• Breast ultrasound for diagnostic exams, and screening for patients with dense breast tissue
• Bone densitometry exams that can be scheduled at the same time as your mammogram for your convenience
• Referrals and education for maintaining breast health.
• Treatment of benign breast disease.
• Evaluation and supervision for women at high risk for breast cancer.
• Advanced minimally invasive procedures, including MRI, ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy.
• Complete specialized breast pathology services.
• Breast cancer treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

It is our goal to make the experience as easy for our patients as possible by:

• Offering two locations for routine and diagnostic screenings — at the
  Tully Health Center and the Darien Imaging Center.
• Providing expanded weekend hours to ensure patients can schedule appointments with ease.
• Assigning one central number to call to schedule mammogram appointments, regardless of which facility is preferred.
• Pre-registering patients the night before their exam to make check-in as quick and easy as possible.
• Bringing breast screenings directly to your corporation, church or community organization and providing on-site services through our mobile mammography program.
• Providing mobile mammography services to uninsured and underinsured women.
