Program in Radiography
A leader in the field of health care, Stamford Hospital offers not just the best radiology services, but the best radiography education. Our two-year radiography program combines classroom education with clinical experience.
Radiographers are vital members of Stamford Hospital's healthcare team. They work closely with radiologists—physician specialists who use X-rays for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Our full-time two year Program in Radiography was established in 1969 and is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
The program combines instructional education with clinical experience. Clinical training is provided in the Department of Radiology and is directly supervised by the clinical instructor, registered radiographers and staff radiologists. The program is designed for two to four hours of daily classroom instruction, with the remainder of the student's day spent in the clinical arena.
Upon completion of the program studies, graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Please note that classes begin in July each year.
