Out-patients who need long-term intravenous medication treatments, injectable drug therapy or regular blood transfusions for chronic conditions such as Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis or anemia can feel confident knowing that Stamford Hospital's Infusion Treatment Center has on staff only the most compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare professionals.

Our experienced registered nurses are specially trained to make inserting IV needles and PICC lines, or implanting venous access devices, as quick and painless as possible. Our facility is designed for patient comfort, since infusion treatment can sometimes take several hours. A "community treatment area" offers large, soft and comfortable recliners along with a personal televisions and headphones for each infusion therapy patient. Sicker patients, or those requiring a full day of infusion services, can request one of six private rooms, each of which is equipped with a flat-screen television and either an adjustable bed or recliner.

Valet parking—as well as the Infusion Treatment Center's location next to the Emergency Department—helps assure easy access. In the unlikely event that an emergency occurs, Stamford Hospital's emergency response team is also just steps away.
