Ensure the health and wellness of important company executives
The talent and value that an executive brings to his or her company is often unique and indispensible. Therefore, it’s smart business for a company to do whatever it can to ensure the health and wellness of its executives. Stamford Hospital provides companies a simple solution to this need through The Executive Health & Wellness Program.
A joint effort of the hospital’s Heart & Vascular Institute and Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness, The Executive Health & Wellness Program includes an Executive Health Exam, a personal nutrition consultation with a registered dietitian, and a private consultation with an exercise physiologist to customize a fitness regimen.
The Executive Health Exam consists of a thorough physical exam in a private and comfortable setting. Typically completed over five hours, it also includes a comprehensive medical history evaluation, blood work, and this battery of tests/screenings:
- Cardiac stress testing
- Chest x-ray
- Dermatology screening
- EKG
- Cholesterol analysis
- Lung capacity testing (pulmonary function testing)
- Urinalysis
- PSA prostate screening as appropriate
- Lung screening (for ex-smokers)
The exam also includes a consultation with the Hospital’s cardiology team. Other imaging studies—such as CT scans, mammograms, colonoscopies and osteoporosis screenings—may be ordered as needed or requested during the exam. A one-hour therapeutic massage is also allocated as part of the total exam time, and is available upon request. In addition, a light breakfast and lunch are served in an executive lounge, featuring a private locker and shower.
Exams are conducted by Dr. Remi Rosenberg and our executive health nurse at the Hospital’s Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness, conveniently located at the Tully Health Center on Strawberry Hill Court in Stamford. The Center offers maximum comfort and a wide range of onsite services and specialties, eliminating the need for multiple visits. Female physicians are available upon request.
Following the exam, executives receive a full report of findings and recommendations, most of which are available for discussion during the visit. The discussion will center on health and wellness information, disease prevention and early detection. The report can be sent directly to the executive’s personal physician for follow-up care. Referrals to and consultations with Stamford Hospital specialists during the exam are available when requested at the time of scheduling. Participating executives will also receive a 10% discount membership to LifeStream MD, a medical advisory service that provides exclusive access to world-class doctors, professional health advice and personal medical records anytime, anywhere.
