The range of offerings includes professional, managerial, career development, and web-based courses for all employees.

New Employee Orientation

Each employee is critical in helping us to achieve the vision of our organization to be the recognized regional center for health. All employees, upon starting at Stamford Hospital, attend our two-day New Employee Orientation. Beginning a new job can be an exciting experience. We want to make your adjustment to Stamford Hospital as smooth and as pleasant as possible.

Staff Development

Courses are offered to employees in areas such as customer service, team building and communications skills.

Regulatory Training

Stamford Hospital provides the resources for employees to meet their regulatory training requirements.

Leadership Academy

Stamford Hospital is an organization where all leaders lead by example and are champions of our mission, vision and values. The Stamford Hospital Leadership Academy is available to management to help leaders maximize their effectiveness at the organizational, team and one-on-one levels.

Employee Surveys

Employee opinions count and are taken seriously. Feedback is gained through confidential employee surveys and open communication to the top levels of leadership.

Organization Development

The Department of Education & Organization Development researches, designs, and implements strategies intended to change the beliefs, attitudes, values, and structure of the organization so that it can better adapt to new technologies and markets.

The department ensures that Stamford Hospital has the systems and processes in place to assess and access the full potential of its employees through strategy, leadership, and change initiatives. Examples include team development, performance management, competency development, 360 feedback systems, career pathing, coaching and situational assessment.
