Dr. Michael Coady Named Stamford Hospital's New Chief of Cardiac Surgery
STAMFORD, CT - March 25, 2010Michael Coady, M.D. has joined the Stamford Hospital team as the new Chief of Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Coady was the Chairman of Surgery at Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island, where he led the cardiac surgery satellite program of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians. Most recently, he has been a cardiac surgeon at The Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Dr. Coady received his medical degree from George Washington University, completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and did his training in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University Hospital.  Upon completion of his residency training, he returned to Yale as Director of its Heart Transplantation Program.  In addition, he completed a master's degree in public health at Yale University.

Dr. Coady is a member of many professional organizations and his work has been published in a number of medical journals.
