Stamford Hospital To Hold Seasonal Flu Vaccine Clinic At Tully Health Center
STAMFORD, CT - December 8, 2009Stamford Hospital has received a shipment of seasonal flu vaccine and will conduct a vaccination clinic on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, from 4 - 8 p.m., or long as vaccine lasts, at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court. Flu shots cost $30. The CDC recommends a yearly seasonal flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against seasonal influenza.

"We are delighted to offer area residents an additional opportunity to be vaccinated to help prevent the spread of seasonal influenza," said Dr. Michael Parry, Stamford Hospital's Director of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology.  Seasonal vaccine has been in short supply due to both high demand and pharmaceutical company conversion to H1N1 vaccine production.
