| STAMFORD, CT - May 13, 2009 Stamford Hospital recently received six communications and advertising awards from the 2009 Lamplighter Awards competition. Sponsored by the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo), the Lamplighter Awards recognize excellence in a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations categories.
This year's winners were selected from a total of 275 entries. All entries were judged by a panel of recognized professionals from outside the New England region, and evaluated on their quality and achievement of desired results.
Stamford Hospital received a gold award for Excellence in Writing Pitch Letters on the benefits of acupuncture before heart surgery. Additional entries that received silver award honors include:
Marketing/Total Effort - for the internal and external launch of the hospital's "Discover More" campaign
Television Advertising - for the "Discover More" campaign
Excellence in Writing Speeches - for The Heart & Vascular Institute Opening reception
Media Relations - for placements on News 12 Connecticut's "12 on Health" program
Public Relations Project - for the hospital's "Fashion From the Heart" community partnership fundraising event
