Hospital Information for Patients and Visitors
At Stamford Hospital, providing a high level of understanding, support, and comfort for our patients’ visiting caregivers and care partners is a foundational part of our mission as a Planetree patient-centered organization.
Electronic Device Use
Please be courteous to those in and around a patient’s room when using electronic devices like wireless phones, iPods, and handheld video games. We encourage the use of headphones when possible. If you have questions about usage, please ask a member of the patient’s care team.
Information Desk
Our Information Desk is on the first floor of the main hospital building and is staffed from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week. The desk attendant can help with patient room and telephone numbers, local maps, directions, meeting locations, and more. Contact the Information Desk at extension 7450, or call 203.276.7450 from outside the hospital.
Quiet Time
The importance of rest to the healing process cannot be overstated. In order to promote a restful and quiet environment, Stamford Hospital observes daily quiet hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please let the patient’s care team know if there’s anything we can do to ensure his or her quiet time is restful.
We at Stamford Hospital will do our best to accommodate our visitors’ special needs, and we encourage those close to the patient to participate in patient care.
